What is Correx?

A cost effective, durable signage solution that is going to be more attractive than a laminated sheet of A4 stickytaped up. Correx is definitely a good option for a lot of signage possibilities, but to make sure it is right for your project, you might be asking; what is Correx?

Correx is flat, rigid board, usually around 4mm thick. To look at it from the side, it looks like a corrugated cardboard box, but it is actually commonly made out of fluted polypropylene for extra durability. This means that is tough, lightweight and weatherproof. They can be drilled into place, or even affixed to walls with Velco or tape.

These attributes are why Correx boards are most commonly used for estate agents For Sale! and Sold! signs and on construction works hoarding. While suitable for indoor displays, it won’t look as sophisticated as Foamex due to its exposed fluted edges compare to the flat solid structure of a Foamex board. It is a cheaper alternative if you are getting displays up on a tighter budget but it is certainly a product built for looking at from a distance.

The boards can range from A4s all the way up to A0, and bespoke sizes in between. It can even be cut into custom shapes. Being flat and rigid, a larger surface area is more likely to snap if forced.
